Jessica + Rusty Engagement Session | Portland Engagement Photographer |

Here are some from Jessica & Rusty's Engagement session recently. They were a blast to work with and shoot their engagement photo's. We shot around her parents property and around the town they live in, Sherwood, Oregon. Beautiful Day, Awesome lighting, and a Fun cute couple = Amazing Photo's! They are getting married in Las Vegas in October and unfortunately I won't be shooting their wedding, which I have wanted to shoot a wedding in Vegas for a long time so if your getting married in Vegas...hint..hint, I know they will have some great wedding photo's because they were awesome to work with and so comfortable together in front of the camera & up for anything which makes for some great photo's!

Alyssa's Bridal Session | Portland Wedding Photographer

Bridal Sessions are becoming more and more popular for brides before the wedding along with having an engagement session. They allow the bride to do a portrait session in their full wedding attire and is essentially a trial run to how they will look on the day of their wedding, thus allowing for any alterations to the dress, hair, or makeup.  After all, most brides do a trial run of hair and makeup anyway – at least put that all that effort and beauty to good use! 

Now that they have had their wedding I can post this bridal shoot I did for a recent bride. Alyssa and I were able to shoot the bridal session before we went to meet with her fiance Elias for the engagement shoot. The bridal session was only about an hour long and gave her some great pointers on how to stand and posing as well as a setting that we won't be able to shoot at on the wedding day. Most brides enjoy a variation on the settings and locations of the photo's to mix it up and this gave us a great opportunity to do that, and it gave some great photo's of her to give to her fiance after the wedding ( or before if you don't mind the groom seeing the dress before the wedding ). The session was fun and relaxed so check her out below in all her wedding dress glory! Thanks.

Alyssa & Elias's Wedding | { Oregon Wedding Photographer }

Having a great engagement shoot with my clients before the wedding makes the wedding day photography go so much more smoothly and comfortable. Getting to know my clients before the wedding helps me to gauge what they are looking for and what they liked and didn't like from the engagement session. Ali & Eli were up for anything during their engagement session but made it clear that they didnt want to kiss in the photo's until they saw eachother for the first time on their wedding day, which I thought made it all the more special that I got to photograph that for them. 

Alyssa and I were also able to do a short bridal session before the engagement shoot so she could see how her makeup, hair and dress would look like on her wedding day. Bridal sessions are a great way to show off the bride and the dress in other locations that would not be available to travel to on the wedding day and the brides also get some direction on how to pose. I'll be posting more from the bridal session shortly but here are some below and the photo's from the wedding which was in Molalla, Oregon. Not a whole lot to photograph in Molalla but I liked taking them into town for the first look and some other shots with just them not around the church grounds. Ali and Elias were a super fun couple who are off to start their new lives together in Seattle. Best Wishes Alyssa and Elias on your new lives together.
