I am a photojournalistic documentary Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer in the Oregon and Washington area and I love to travel, so Destination Events are highly welcome. I photograph Weddings, Engagements, Seniors, Babies, Families, Maternity, and anything else you need a photographer for to capture those amazing moments in your life. Have Camera will Travel! I would love to meet you to talk about photographing your wedding or lifestyle event and inspiration over a cup of coffee or tea. Thanks for stopping by my photography blog. I hope you enjoy stopping by every now and then to check out what I've been up to and to see some of the latest examples of my work. Please, make yourself at home here. You're welcome to hang around as long as you like, invite some friends over, and, while you're at it, leave a comment or two if you like what you see.

Halloween in Texas with my Niece and Nephew - Goodwin Family Shoot

Every year I travel to Texas to go to the film festivals in Austin and visit with my sister and her family in Dallas. This year I missed out on the greatest film festival on U.S. soil, Fantastic Fest in Austin, but I got to spend Halloween taking photo's of my niece and nephew in their cute outfits and trick r' treating with them with was awesome. My nephew reminds me a lot of myself at that age and I'm already getting him into movies. We watched Harry and The Hendersons and at first he was scared of Harry but by the end he looked at me and said " I like Harry, he was nice! "...adorable. My niece has grown so much from when I first held her and was up and walking and crawling on me and talking, somewhat incoherently but I pretend to understand. We were able to do a couple family shoots and I always end up taking lots of photo's of them while I'm with them throughout the day. I won't be missing Fantastic Fest next year as I heard this year blew 2009 outta the water with the films they showed and I love Austin and have many friends there so I hope to book some weddings and photo shoots there this year. Here are some from the family shoot and of Parker and Paige my nephew and niece. Go Longhorns!

Even Captain America has to brush his teeth before bed.

Danielle & Marc's Wedding | A Chapel on Swan's Trail | 09.18.2010

On the drive up to Snohomish, WA it poured the whole way. It got so bad I had to pull over 3 times as semi-trucks splashing heavy water onto my wind shield made seeing anything in front of me impossible and scary. After an 6 hour drive that should have been 3 it was still pouring when I got to my hotel. The forecast was rain for the entire weekend but I hoped for the best for the next day. Like most the forecast in the NW they were thankfully wrong. The wedding took place at A Chapel on Swan's Trail and it it turned out to be a beautiful day, awesome! Unfortunately I woke up very sick with the chills and a nasty temperature, ugh. Everyone was great about it though and helped me out during the day and I was a trooper and made it through ( Turned out I was sick for 2 weeks after the wedding with bronchitis which was horrible ). The location was fun and scenic and Danielle and Marc were great to get to know and shoot a fun laid back wedding and we got some great shots that definitely showed their personalities, funny and casual. Loved the way they interacted in front of the camera and the wedding party had a blast. The hotel shoots on the couch were awesome and ended a sunny day in Seattle in September which is a rarity for sure. Congratulations Danielle and Marc, thanks for everything.

Sara & Ryan's Beach Wedding | 08.08.2010

Most times you never know what you are gonna get weather wise at the Oregon Coast, but for Ryan & Sara's wedding it turned out to be an amazing day and a beautiful sunset in the evening that made for some great photo moments on the beach and at the pier. Sara and Ryan were married at Connie Hanson Garden in Lincoln City which was a nice quaint spot for an intimate wedding and the beach was only a short drive away. I really enjoy shooting beach weddings and the photo's from the day came out amazing. It was so much fun driving Sara and Ryan around to places I had checked out the day before the wedding that I thought would be awesome to shoot at knowing that they wanted to get a lot of variety for their wedding and focus on the two of them enjoying the day together after the reception. We ended up at the Pier by Mo's , best clam chowder in Oregon!, and were able to get some great sunset shoots and beautiful dark clouds in the distance. Thanks Ryan and Sara for letting me be a part of your beautiful day and capturing these moments for you and a special shoutout to Austin and Kristi for helping me with my equipment and riding around with us. Congrats Sara & Ryan! Enjoy the slideshow of your awesome wedding day!
