Josh | Purefection Photography | Photographer

Welcome to my new blog and website where you can check out my past and current weddings and events I have photographed and get a glimpse of some of the things I like such as movies, tv, traveling, food and music and general things I enjoy in life outside of photography. I am a photojournalistic documentary Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer in the Oregon and Washington area and I love to travel, so Destination Events are highly welcome. I photograph Weddings, Engagements, Seniors, Babies, Families, Maternity, and anything else you need a photographer for to capture those amazing moments in your life. Have Camera will Travel! I would love to meet you to talk about photographing your wedding or lifestyle event and inspiration over a cup of coffee or tea. Thanks for stopping by my photography blog. I hope you enjoy stopping by every now and then to check out what I've been up to and to see some of the latest examples of my work. Please, make yourself at home here. You're welcome to hang around as long as you like, invite some friends over, and, while you're at it, leave a comment or two if you like what you see.
Thanks for stopping by!

April & Eric's Wedding - Mt. Hood Organic Farms

One of my favorite places to shoot a wedding is Mt. Hood Organic Farms for the scenic area and friendly staff. With a perfect view of Mt. Hood on a clear sunny day during the ceremony and hay fields that surround the area, this is such a beautiful location for weddings and great wedding photography. I have shot 2 weddings here so far and with each I get new ideas and more creative.  It was voted Best NW Wedding Site by Oregon Bride Magazine in 2006 & 2007 and each time I'm there I can see why. With views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer, Mt. Adams and lots of acres of Orchard trails this is a wedding photographers dream. I think the next wedding I get a chance to shoot there I would love to take the couple on the short hike to the Evening Lake and Pear Orchards for some amazing photos. Sangria's and nice Spring weather made for a fun and beautiful wedding. So glad the weather is getting warmer and looking forward to some great outdoor weddings this year!

This residential Cat of the farm literally had his one good eye on me while I worked. It followed us around posing for me and I think enjoyed having his photo taken.
