Josh | Purefection Photography | Photographer

Welcome to my new blog and website where you can check out my past and current weddings and events I have photographed and get a glimpse of some of the things I like such as movies, tv, traveling, food and music and general things I enjoy in life outside of photography. I am a photojournalistic documentary Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer in the Oregon and Washington area and I love to travel, so Destination Events are highly welcome. I photograph Weddings, Engagements, Seniors, Babies, Families, Maternity, and anything else you need a photographer for to capture those amazing moments in your life. Have Camera will Travel! I would love to meet you to talk about photographing your wedding or lifestyle event and inspiration over a cup of coffee or tea. Thanks for stopping by my photography blog. I hope you enjoy stopping by every now and then to check out what I've been up to and to see some of the latest examples of my work. Please, make yourself at home here. You're welcome to hang around as long as you like, invite some friends over, and, while you're at it, leave a comment or two if you like what you see.
Thanks for stopping by!

The Livestrong Photo Project

New in 2011, I will be starting my own Live-Strong Photo Project as a way of giving back to those who want to preserve memories of someone they know who is going through cancer or just a photo session for families with children with an illness or have fallen on hard times. Having lost both my father and uncle to cancer in the last year, I understand the importance of capturing these last moments together. Looking back while my father was battling cancer and even in the hospital in the end of his battle, I wish I had done more photo's with him and I and our family together before he was no longer with us.

Most people battling cancer or a disease, I'm sure the last thing they want is a photo shoot of them but it can be a great way to lift their spirits and show them how truly beautiful they are inside and out. Preserving the last moments you may share with them while difficult, can be therapeutic to all. For this project I'm offering free photo sessions to those who may not be able to afford a photo session and are in need and want to have a fun shoot and photo memories of their loved ones together or just of a a person going through some hard times or maybe even a student who can't afford a senior session.

Please nominate a family or individual or a child for a free photo session for people in need of some great fun shots. This session is completely free and will not be used as advertising. Contact me for more information.
