Some of my favorite weddings to shoot are often the ones that are the simplest, without a detailed agenda of the events, which allows me to be at my creative best and take the couple to locations, either on site or close to the wedding, that I think would work great for their wedding day photography and personalities. Weddings are suppose to be fun and not feel rushed. I often tell my couples that it is their day and everyone will wait for them. Having time alone to capture the couple is very important and makes for the some of best romantic and timeless photo's and memories of the wedding day.
The reception took place at Sarah's wonderful parents beautiful home. On the drive there I noticed a hayfield about 3 blocks away that I thought would be great to spend some time with the couple and capture some fun and romantic shots. I love it when the couple is up for anything and Sarah and Tyler were total troopers for letting me stomp down a path for them to walk into the field and capture some beautiful shots sunset. While it only took about 20 minutes, some of my favorite and their favorite shots came from that small adventure and I appreciate it so much when the wedding couple takes the time to make their photo's alone together a priority for their wedding day photography. The wedding was a beautiful day and was so laid back and relaxed, just the way it should be, with fun being the biggest priority on all!
